Pradera is proud to announce that the Cevahir Shopping Centre in Istanbul has been awarded LEED ‘Gold’ certification under the v4.1 ‘Operations and Maintenance: Existing Buildings’ rating system. To achieve the LEED certification, the Cevahir Shopping Centre was thoroughly assessed on many categories including Energy, Water, Material, Resources, Indoor Environmental Quality, Location and Transportation.
LEED, the world’s most widely used green building rating system, proclaimed Cevahir Shopping Centre as “a showcase example of sustainability demonstrating leadership in transforming the building industry.”
Following the implementation of targeted measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and the introduction of an energy management system, Cevahir Shopping Centre has also obtained a TS EN ISO 5001 certification.
Cevahir Shopping Centre is one of Turkey’s largest indoor shopping centres, located in a densely populated area in central Istanbul. It comprises over 116,000 sqm GLA and accommodates circa 250 units. Pradera has been managing the iconic retail and leisure destination in Istanbul since 2007.
