Mosaic Shanghai welcomes Fila's largest flagship store in Greater China

Retail asset management specialist Pradera Retail Asia, the asset manager of Mosaic Shanghai, announced today that international sportswear brand FILA has relaunched its flagship store at Mosaic Shanghai. The new FILA space is the brand’s largest flagship store in Greater China and enjoys a prime position on the first and second floors of Mosaic Shanghai. A ceremony, which included music and dance performances, was held to celebrate the relaunch, bringing together Hong Kong actor Hawick Lau, senior executives from Pradera Retail Asia and Mosaic Shanghai, as well as FILA brand representatives. The introduction of FILA’s largest Greater China flagship store highlights Pradera Retail Asia’s strong leasing capability and its focus on elevating the customer experience.

FILA, the legacy Italian sportswear brand, offers a diverse collection of clothes, footwear and accessories with a design aesthetic that reflects the brand’s elegant and on-trend fashion style, which perfectly matches Mosaic Shanghai’s young and trendy positioning. The 867-square-meter FILA flagship store, located on the two lower levels of Mosaic Shanghai, was designed in keeping with the building’s historical architecture, combining the perfect blend of Italian elegance and modern charm. The main space on the first floor has an attractive decor of white marble and glass, and the entire floor has high windows, a vibrant reflection of the brand’s revitalized and youthful style. On the second floor, the store combines the brand lines FILA KIDS and FILA FUSION for families and the younger generation. As one of the major sub brands of FILA, FILA FUSION offers limited-edition footwear, apparel, music and video games, bringing the latest fashion trends to young customers.

The ceremony was a great success packed with exciting performances, cheered on by a large, enthusiastic crowd and fashionable attendees from all over the city. During the opening ceremony, customized FUSION C2M T-shirts and handbags printed with iconic Shanghai landmarks and designed by artist Li Lei were sold to customers, who also received small gifts to celebrate the opening of the store.  

With the aim of bringing the concept of ‘mixing, meeting and entertaining’ to life, Mosaic Shanghai is set to become one of the leading shopping, leisure and F&B destinations for young millennials, with a wide variety of trendy domestic and international brands. The relaunch of the FILA flagship store further highlights the brand identity of Mosaic Shanghai, creating a truly fun and interactive retail experience.

The new FILA flagship store further strengthens our aim of establishing Mosaic Shanghai as the most desirable retail destination in the city for young locals and visitors. And this is just the first of more new and exciting offerings to come for Mosaic Shanghai this year.”

Mosaic Shanghai is located on East Nanjing Road, Shanghai’s busiest pedestrian street, and is positioned next to three subway exits for Metro lines 2 and 10. The project covers a total construction area of 40,270 square meters and seven floors housing a wide range of businesses, including dining, fashion and entertainment outlets. Pradera Retail Asia has recently conducted a series of store upgrades and opened new restaurants and fashion outlets at Mosaic Shanghai to increase the mix of shopping and leisure offerings, catering to the demands of young fashion-loving millennials. M-Square, a themed area within Mosaic Shanghai, was launched at the end of January, providing a unique collection of niche beauty and lifestyle offerings. In August 2017, Pradera Retail Asia signed an agreement with Merlin Entertainments, a leading global entertainment company, to open The Shanghai Dungeon within Mosaic Shanghai. The Shanghai Dungeon attraction, the first of its kind in Asia, is set to open in autumn 2018.

Established in September 2016, Pradera Retail Asia has leveraged on its experience in global retail asset management to provide integrated, best in class asset management services in Asia. Mosaic Shanghai is one of the four retail properties Pradera Retail Asia currently manages in China, with the other three properties located in Chongqing, Qingdao, and Xi’an.
