Nurturing Talent and Supporting Community
Newcastle , United Kingdom

Eldon Square has recently welcomed Tess Palmer, a dedicated and enthusiastic student from Newcastle University, for a 100-hour internship as part of her university placement programme.

Tess worked closely with the shopping centre’s team to support key Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, with a particular focus on developing partnerships for “Community Quarter”, a space dedicated to amplifying the work of local charities and fostering connections with shoppers and visitors.

A highlight of her placement was contributing to “Self Care Weekend” event, where Tess helped facilitate on-site activities and engaged with organisations including Newcastle United Foundation, Newcastle College, and Tyneside and Northumberland Mind.

Reflecting on her experience, Tess shared:
“This internship has enhanced my professional skills and deepened my understanding of marketing and corporate social responsibility in a fast-paced commercial environment.”

It’s always a privilege to support emerging talent, and Tess brought great energy, curiosity, and professionalism to every aspect of her time at Eldon Square.
